Announcements
* Please note that I am on leave for a few days and will return on Tuesday 3rd May. Thank you * I really enjoy working for IDIY as an English teacher. I am passionate about languages and respect and admire the enthusiasm and dedication of Japanese learners, who I find to be polite, thoughtful, determined, and hard-working. I return my orders within 12 hours, and often much sooner. I know how frustrating it can be to wait for a corrected document when you have deadlines to meet, so I always aim to return a very natural-sounding version of your writing, taking time over detail and with consideration for your audience and the nature of your document. I have a few regular customers with whom I enjoy exchanging short messages in the message box. I love to learn about Japanese culture and very much hope to visit Japan one day. I would love to be able to help you with your English! Best wishes, Catherine
Hobbies/Travel
My hobbies are running, cycling, walking and cooking. I also love to travel and experience different cultures, lifestyles and languages. I have visited Canada, America, South Africa, Thailand, Spain, Germany, Italy, Portugal, Greece, Cyprus, Switzerland, Andorra and Holland. I would love to visit Australia, New Zealand and Japan! I also love to spend time with my family and explore France, where we moved to in 2014. I am married with two children, we have two cats and we live in a very beautiful and rural area in the South of France. In July 2021 we will be moving back to England.
Message from the instructor
I pride myself on my accuracy when correcting orders. I love to analyse languages and understand the etymology of words. I aim to correct orders in the most natural style possible so that you can learn to write and speak English as a native speaker.

Thank you very much for your corrections and comments. I’m very glad that you showed me more natural expressions. Also, thank you for your information about ‘in their late 40’s” and “the age of late 40”. That was very helpful for me. Best regards, Isabel

Hi again, Catherine! Sorry for being late to reply this. >"the opinion is correct of Japan." Very new to me about the idea of preposition. It is very difficult to choose but will try in the next chance! >elderly couples have a deep root for getting divorced After reading your advices, I found that I wanted to say "Elderly coules often have a deep-rooted conflict that cannot be easily resolved and resulting into divorce", that means the reason of divorce is different from that of young couples. (It is said number of elderly couples getting divorced is also increasing, but with the different background of young people) I couldn't successfully express my idea due to the limited short time at this time, but could receive your ideas and advices any way, thus, I'm happy about it. I will try with clearer mind and idea next time. Thank you very much! Asouka

Dear Catherine, Thank you for your kind corrections and explanations, especially, about my question. Beside my question, all of the sujested phrases were very beautiful and amazing for me! I was really moved with the phrases you made for me. Thank you very much! Looking forward to the next chance! Asouka * My English name is Asuka but since I used to learn French at university, and to pronounce my name correctly in French, I sometimes use this handlename "Asouka". As you now live in France, I may rather use this handlename, if you like.

As a non-native English speaker, one of the most difficult things when I write a sentence in English is how to use article appropriately. Thank you very much for your meaningful advice.
