(The English Proficiency Index (EF EPI) is a global ranking of English proficiency levels in countries where English is a second language, based on English proficiency surveys of adults in 113 countries and territories around the world.) Despite such terrible condition of school education in Japan, the government is hesitant to reform and update the current school crriculum. Considering the future of the young, the government should take as possible measures as they can. Authority should provide more English communication class from elementary schools with individualized classes. Local government should offer tourist volunteer activity to those students who are interested in communicating in English. At the same time, national government should hold events to select outstanding students while giving them subsidies to go abroad for study and work.
