Announcements
Hi, my name is Lea and I am a 46-year-old guy from a lovely city called Gloucestershire which is in the southwest of the United Kingdom. Gloucestershire is in the heart of the Cotswolds and is famous for the crazy cheese rolling event that happens yearly. Since leaving college in 1992 I have been in the electrical business in a managerial role and have studied electronics, health and safety and human resources. In 2012, I studied English and succeeded in an English TESOL course with Global English. Since passing my course I have been experiencing teaching English online and it has been one of the most enjoyable and rewarding jobs of my career. I started teaching in the classroom in the north of Thailand and trained over 2500 students in the English program which consisted of English, Maths, Science, Geography and PE. So far I have taught English to students worldwide and I have met some passionate, friendly and intelligent students who dream of speaking fluent English. I have taken over 40,000 online classes meeting around 30,000 people. I am an enthusiastic individual who enjoys speaking to people and likes to encourage and bring the best out of everyone. I love all types of sport; love to keep fit and healthy and I love travelling and foreign food. I look forward to meeting you and encouraging you to become more confident and fluent in your English learning journey, with writing, using vocabulary, expressions and colourful English language.
Hobbies/Travel
I love football, I support Manchester United and I go to watch them when I have spare time. I like swimming and try to swim at least 2km every day. I love other sports such as rugby and like to keep fit and visit the gym. My main hobby is travelling and I have been all over the world, the only continents I haven't visited are Australia and Antarctica. in 2016, I visited Brazil for the 2016 Rio Olympics working as an English broadcaster reporting the games in English through an app back to mainland China. I lived in Thailand for eight months of the year teaching and then lived in England, and Spain, for the rest. My favourite films are Taken and Castaway. My favourite book is the Harry Potter collection.
Message from the instructor
I like to encourage students as much as possible, I am here to help and I want to get the best out of our customers. I want them to feel comfortable working with me and students must never get upset by my corrections, they are there to help, I never want to embarrass the student or make them feel they have lost confidence in carrying on learning the subject. I like to make correcting tactful. I am here to help you succeed in speaking, writing, listening and thinking in a good standard of English. I will teach you all the important things about the English language, this will include tenses, sentence order, spelling, expressions, phrasal verbs, idioms and word usage. I will teach you phrases that we use in our everyday language. This will help you communicate in English with friends, in conversations, or on the internet, or even to be successful in getting employment.

Thank you so much for your explanations! In this diary entry, I'm glad to have had no fault! There are many reasons why babies have a lot of sweat as you wrote. Especially when she is crying, she gets sweaty very much :) Best regards.

Thank you so much for your explanations! At many car parks in Japan, we have to park in reverse. I've heard that you usually park forward in foreign countries. I think parking forward is easier :) Best regards.

Thank you so much for your correction and explanations! According to the 1st sentence, I learned that "on the balcony" is right to say. And I knew the word "a paddling pool" for the first time. I will use it in the next chance. Unfortunately, it is still a rainy season in Japan, and we haven't played with the paddling pool yet. I hope the rainy season will end soon! Best regards.

Thank you so much for your explanations! My daughter likes bread so much and always reaches it! And maybe, she doesn't like vegetable so much, but it depends on the kind of vegetable. Best regards.

Thank you so much for your correction and explanations! According to the 2nd sentence, I learned that the word "bedroom" is one word. The color of the curtain in the bedroom is blue so that we can relax. And the one in the study room is white and green so that we can freshen up! Best regards.

Leahook-san, Thank you for your kind comment. I recently started this app and have received a feedback for the first time. I am surprised I didn’t make any mistakes except for the spacing error. Again, thank you very much and hope you have a good day. Regards, Maccas37611

Dear leahook Thank you for checking my writing. I'm happy to hear the situation in the UK is getting better. In contract, I regret to say the situation in Japan is getting worse. Our last resort will be a vaccine which the UK and the US developed. We only have to hold on a little longer because "Through every dark night, there is a bright day." Stay safe and have a nice day! With kind regards, Sisi

Dear leahook Thank you for correcting my writing. I'm not good at article, so it is helpful for me. As you already know, we have a long break in Japan in May. We have to refrain from traveling now, so I'm enjoying reading books or watching DVDs instead. I've heard there are 8 holidays in the UK. Early May bank holiday is one of them, isn't it? I hope you enjoy early May bank holiday too! With kind regards, Sisi

Thank you so much for your correction and explanations! According to the 1st sentence, I learned the meaning of "cut teeth" besides its literal one. I will use this expression more in the future assignments. It is sometimes difficult for me to use articles correctly. I will read more English sentences and study more! Best regards.
