Announcements
Hello! My name is Lea, and I’m an English teacher from Gloucester, in the south-west of England, a city famous for the traditional cheese-rolling festival. I currently live in Valencia, Spain, and own a Cambridge-registered language school. I am also the owner of an online language school. I have over 13 years of teaching experience, and I am a registered Cambridge teacher with extensive experience using Cambridge and Oxford materials. I specialise in adult learners, Business English, conversation, and helping students speak confidently and naturally in real-life situations. My teaching style is supportive, practical, and goal-focused, always adapted to each learner’s needs. Outside of teaching, I love football, sports, sightseeing, living close to nature, and relaxing at home with my girlfriend and our pets. I look forward to helping you reach your goals with confidence.
Hobbies/Travel
I love football, I support Manchester United and I go to watch them when I have spare time. I like swimming and try to swim at least 2km every day. I love other sports such as rugby and like to keep fit and visit the gym. My main hobby is travelling and I have been all over the world, the only continents I haven't visited are Australia and Antarctica. in 2016, I visited Brazil for the 2016 Rio Olympics working as an English broadcaster reporting the games in English through an app back to mainland China. I lived in Thailand for eight months of the year teaching and then lived in England, and Spain, for the rest. My favourite films are Taken and Castaway. My favourite book is the Harry Potter collection.
Message from the instructor
I like to encourage students as much as possible, I am here to help and I want to get the best out of our customers. I want them to feel comfortable working with me and students must never get upset by my corrections, they are there to help, I never want to embarrass the student or make them feel they have lost confidence in carrying on learning the subject. I like to make correcting tactful. I am here to help you succeed in speaking, writing, listening and thinking in a good standard of English. I will teach you all the important things about the English language, this will include tenses, sentence order, spelling, expressions, phrasal verbs, idioms and word usage. I will teach you phrases that we use in our everyday language. This will help you communicate in English with friends, in conversations, or on the internet, or even to be successful in getting employment.

Dear Leahook, Thank you for your feedback. I could learned from a lot of your corrections. Especially, I sometimes confuse which I should use "the" and "a", so your feedback would help me. I hope to have the next opportunity to work with you. Many thanks, m-yoshiro

Thank you so much for your corrections and explanations! According to the 1st sentence, I learned that "the same age as her" is right to say. I will use it in the next chance. Our daughter spent a nice time on Christmas. She does not know what is Christmas, but she enjoyed the day :) Best regards.

Thank you for the correction. I always think which article is the best. I'm wondering when I speak English fluently. I wish my precious one lemon can harvest. However, the typhoon season come in Japan, so fruits fall will fall.
