Announcements
As a Canadian, I am actually very familiar with both American English and British English. Canadian English is a mix of American and British English. My students from Japan and other countries tell me that I am great at explaining English grammar and vocabulary with patience and kindness.
Hobbies/Travel
I love reading, and I lived and taught English in Japan for thirteen years (until the spring of 2022). I loved Japan's friendly people, the food, the culture and history, and also the literature. Oh yes and I loved the izakaya life!

Dear TeacherShawn, I’d like to express my appreciation for your work, which was incredibly helpful. The idea of adjusting writing style based on the topic hadn’t occurred to me before, but it makes perfect sense. Additionally, the em-dash is a new punctuation mark for me, and I’ll definitely incorporate it when appropriate. Thank you once again for the fantastic tips!

Dear TeacherShawn, It is a very helpful correction that I feel I was able to learn quite a few things. Though I use dictionary when writing but I feel I wasn't paying enough attention to details. I feel quantity over quality doesnt always work, I need to put more effort into quality as well. I will review your correction again to see if there is anything I need to clarify with you. Meanwhile, I thank you again for your assistance. Best,

Thank you for your explanations. Yes, I do need more practice to write. It’s still difficult for me to distinguish countable and uncountable nouns. Thanks again.
