Announcements
I am a Canadian-born native English speaker now residing in Costa Rica. I have a university degree and a post-graduate certificate in G.I.S. (Geographical Information Systems) from McMaster University. I have visited many cultures for extended periods of time and teach children English in an area where there is no opportunity to practice. I understand the frustrations and excitement of learning a new language and way of thinking. My proofreading style encompasses three areas: 1) checking your English for grammatical errors and use of everyday English; 2) making sure your meaning comes across to the reader even though it is crossing both language and cultural differences; 3) offering suggestions to improve the style and construction of your composition. I enjoy working for IDIY and their clients because I enjoy teaching while at the same time it gives me the opportunity to learn about the Japanese culture.
Hobbies/Travel
My hobbies include breeding and photographing horses, horseback riding, making cheese and gardening. My favorite countries are Canada, Costa Rica, and Indonesia. I have also visited the Solomon Islands, the Dominican Republic, Curacao, England, Spain, Italy, Fiji, and the U.S.A.

Dear, Teacher Desiree. Thank you very much for your correction to my sentences and detailed explanation. In the first sentence, I use "like" as " such as". However, you didn't understand. I'll have to review these sentences. I'm looking forward to taking your corrections again.

Dear, Teacher Desiree. Thank you very much for your correction to my sentences and detailed explanation. Sometimes, I was told that your sentence was complicated and it was difficult to understand. I'll tried to write English sentences more simply. I'm looking forward to taking your corrections again.

Thank you for your correction. I'm sorry that paragraph no,3 is a little bit strange, but your sentence described very well what I want to say. I don't translate my essay from Japanese to English, but I don't have enough vocabulary and examples, so my essay looked strange. I have to read more article or sentences. Thank you again and have a good night!

Dear, Teacher Desiree. Thank you very much for your correction to my sentences and detailed explanation. Sometimes, my teacher told me that my sentences are too long to understand. Then, I'll try to write English sentences shorter than now. I'm looking forward to taking your corrections again.
