Announcements
Hi, my name is Lea and I am a 46-year-old guy from a lovely city called Gloucestershire which is in the southwest of the United Kingdom. Gloucestershire is in the heart of the Cotswolds and is famous for the crazy cheese rolling event that happens yearly. Since leaving college in 1992 I have been in the electrical business in a managerial role and have studied electronics, health and safety and human resources. In 2012, I studied English and succeeded in an English TESOL course with Global English. Since passing my course I have been experiencing teaching English online and it has been one of the most enjoyable and rewarding jobs of my career. I started teaching in the classroom in the north of Thailand and trained over 2500 students in the English program which consisted of English, Maths, Science, Geography and PE. So far I have taught English to students worldwide and I have met some passionate, friendly and intelligent students who dream of speaking fluent English. I have taken over 40,000 online classes meeting around 30,000 people. I am an enthusiastic individual who enjoys speaking to people and likes to encourage and bring the best out of everyone. I love all types of sport; love to keep fit and healthy and I love travelling and foreign food. I look forward to meeting you and encouraging you to become more confident and fluent in your English learning journey, with writing, using vocabulary, expressions and colourful English language.
Hobbies/Travel
I love football, I support Manchester United and I go to watch them when I have spare time. I like swimming and try to swim at least 2km every day. I love other sports such as rugby and like to keep fit and visit the gym. My main hobby is travelling and I have been all over the world, the only continents I haven't visited are Australia and Antarctica. in 2016, I visited Brazil for the 2016 Rio Olympics working as an English broadcaster reporting the games in English through an app back to mainland China. I lived in Thailand for eight months of the year teaching and then lived in England, and Spain, for the rest. My favourite films are Taken and Castaway. My favourite book is the Harry Potter collection.
Message from the instructor
I like to encourage students as much as possible, I am here to help and I want to get the best out of our customers. I want them to feel comfortable working with me and students must never get upset by my corrections, they are there to help, I never want to embarrass the student or make them feel they have lost confidence in carrying on learning the subject. I like to make correcting tactful. I am here to help you succeed in speaking, writing, listening and thinking in a good standard of English. I will teach you all the important things about the English language, this will include tenses, sentence order, spelling, expressions, phrasal verbs, idioms and word usage. I will teach you phrases that we use in our everyday language. This will help you communicate in English with friends, in conversations, or on the internet, or even to be successful in getting employment.

Dear leahook Thanks for revising my essay, and thanks for your kind advice each time. I have yet to watch the film 'Castaway' so I'll check it later. By the way, from next time, when you correct my essay and replace some words, such as from 'in old time' to 'from the past', please explain why the latter one is more natural, if it is possible. Thank you so mach, and I hope you would review my next essay!! Regards, Keigo

Dear Mr. leahook Thank you for your fast correction of my poor English. This is the first try. I felt embarrassing because there were so many easy grammar mistakes. But I think this system is useful for me to practice English. I want to keep practice in this system.

Dear leahook Thanks for revising my essay. I did not know the word 'surprised' can be used as an adjective. I will keep on my writing practice. Thank you so much, and I hope you would correct my next essay! Regards, Keigo

Dear leahook Thanks for revising my essay. Your review is always kind and helpful for my study. Sometimes I feel the use of auxiliary verb is difficult, especially the word 'would' in sentence. Anyway, I feel I am gradually reaching the sense of native speaker. Thank you so much, and I hope you would correct my next essay!! Regards, Keigo

Mr. Leahook, Thank you as always! It's fun to read your comment back. I'm interested in using the expensive road in UK. Take care, too.

Dear leahook Thanks for revising my essay. I'm doing really well everyday. Your review and explanation are really kind and easy to understand. I appreciate you!! I often make mistakes at the selection of 'article' being put before noun. It is really hard to select the correct 'article' in English sentence and conversation. So I am often confused:) I think sometimes non-native people cannot comprehend the selection of 'article' precisely by only specific or non-specific. So I need practice to approach the sense of native speaker who can come up the correct 'article' spontaneously. Thank you so much, and I hope you would correct my next essay again!! Regards, Keigo
