Hello there! I have lived in Japan and also studied Japanese at University. I really enjoy meeting people from different countries and learning about their cultures. Hello teacher Carolyn, I really appreciate a lot of illuminating advice. Eglish composition eliminating the shadow of Japanese structure is my final goal. BUT it is a tough challenge actually... Thank you so much today! Best regards, Ryoko

I'm glad that my email got more thoughtful and clearer after your correction. However, the comments on sentence 3 are a bit difficult for me to understand, as some amendments weren't mentioned. I guess they weren't necessarily required or were needed to achieve harmony with the other changes. The explanation as to why the present perfect tense is preferable in sentence 4 is very convincing. I hope to work with you again in future. Best Regards
