Hobbies/Travel
I enjoy reading (especially Harry Potter and Haruki Murakami), writing (fiction as well as academic papers), playing piano, playing video games (especially Japanese RPGs), and studying the Japanese language. My favorite country that I have visited is Japan! There are so many amazing things to see in your country!
Message from the instructor
I will be happy to help you produce clear, accurate English compositions while giving you additional information on how English works. I appreciate how difficult it must be for Japanese speakers to learn English, and so I will try my best to help you learn the language's complexities. I pay very close attention to details. In particular, I am sensitive to small nuances in meaning. I have studied some Japanese (although I am still a beginner), so I have an idea how different the two languages are. As a result, I can sometimes see what the original intention was according to Japanese grammar, and I can try to find a natural English equivalent. I am available to correct texts any day. I will be able to correct the text within 24 hours.

Hello David, Thank you for reviewing my composition! It's very interesting to know the difference between kind of a something vs a kind of something, and why people put an apostrophe before "cause". Besides, I found out how vague the sentences I wrote were with your review. I'm gonna try to make my sentences much clearer :) Thank you always, have a great weekend! Best wishes, Kohei

Hi David, Thank you for your detailed reviews! According to sentence1,  "the tenth floor, which has two apartments."  is what I wanted to say!. Now I understand the difference between apartment and room, thank you! About sentence2, I want to spell a word in the Canadian way, because I learned English in Toronto, Canada. Thank you for letting me share the difference between story vs storey. Regarding sentence3, I wanted to write "We can see the tower named Tokyo Skytree well, but a new building under construction is starting to get in our way." Your explanation tells me how tense important is. However, I’ve never heard of the phrase "vantage point”. I appreciate it. About sentence4, The grammar rules and the nuances are very interesting! I learned a lot from your explanation!! Thank you!!! I have a question about the pre-packaged food that you mentioned in sentence5. A pre-packaged food, ready-to-eat food, and prepared food… Which expression is the most common in Canada? I look forward to asking you to check my next composition. Have a great one! Best regards, Kohei

Dear David, Thank you for giving me some advices to me again. Though I feel lucky to enjoy learning English, I need to master how to express my thought in English based on correct grammar. I wish I will practice English skills to write on my thoughts. Sincerely, Bearmatsu

Dear David, Thank you for your quick response to me. I noticed that I mistook to use "one of features" from your corrections. And I should have used educators instead of educator. However, I can't master how to use "the". I would like to send my thought in English to get your review. Sincerely, Bearmatsu

Dear David, Thank you for your kind explanation of change to my text. I need to use how to use present or past tense based on several situations. It's a pleasure that my texts were evaluated by you again. I try to understand your changes as natural English sentences as possible. Sincerely, Bearmatsu
