Message from the instructor
Hi! How are you? My name is Antimony. I have been working with IDIY as a native English instructor for the last few years. I enjoy the work and my clients have always been kind enough to give me excellent feedback. I feel I am lucky to be a native English speaker, and recognize that English is probably not an easy language to learn. I studied French and Latin at school, and am currently learning Dutch, so I have some understanding of the challenges of learning another language. I have a lot of respect for people who undertake this task, especially when it is a language that uses a different alphabet system to their own. I would like to share my knowledge with you to assist you in continuing to master the English language. Please let me tell you a little about myself. I have a university education and had to do scientific research and write a thesis for one of my degrees. I have had a variety of different roles in my working career which has allowed me to develop excellent written and verbal communication skills. I am a New Zealander. We primarily use British English here; however, I am also very familiar with American English, having used it in technical writing for over ten years. Most of my clients seem to use American English so I use that in my work unless otherwise indicated. If you would prefer me to use British or Australian English that is no problem, just let me know. I am also happy to use whatever text correction style best suits your needs. Thank you for taking the time to read this profile. I look forward to working with you in the future.

Dear Antimony, Thank you for correcting my short essay and for giving me an interesting reply and a lot of advice. I really enjoyed reading your reply. I already read Departures and Norwegian Wood. It was definitely an interesting book! However, I have not seen it on DVD. I'll see it in my free time. Furthermore, I'll try to read English newspapers. Anyway, I have watched the American TV drama "Suits" with Japanese subtitles recently. I learned a lot of expressions from this movie! I'll keep honing my English skills. Best regards, Ddaidai

Daer Teacher Antimony, Thank you for your kind corrections. Many alternatives are very beneficial for me. Furthermore, I consent to your advises exactly. It is necessary for me to watch movies and to listen to active English. I cannot speak and cannot hear English because it is too fast for me. Also, it may be fun to listen to various accents. I would like to continue to learn English with fun. Best regards, Ms. Misa-Office
