Message from the instructor
Hi! How are you? My name is Antimony. I have been working with IDIY as a native English instructor for the last few years. I enjoy the work and my clients have always been kind enough to give me excellent feedback. I feel I am lucky to be a native English speaker, and recognize that English is probably not an easy language to learn. I studied French and Latin at school, and am currently learning Dutch, so I have some understanding of the challenges of learning another language. I have a lot of respect for people who undertake this task, especially when it is a language that uses a different alphabet system to their own. I would like to share my knowledge with you to assist you in continuing to master the English language. Please let me tell you a little about myself. I have a university education and had to do scientific research and write a thesis for one of my degrees. I have had a variety of different roles in my working career which has allowed me to develop excellent written and verbal communication skills. I am a New Zealander. We primarily use British English here; however, I am also very familiar with American English, having used it in technical writing for over ten years. Most of my clients seem to use American English so I use that in my work unless otherwise indicated. If you would prefer me to use British or Australian English that is no problem, just let me know. I am also happy to use whatever text correction style best suits your needs. Thank you for taking the time to read this profile. I look forward to working with you in the future.

Dear Antimony Thank you very much for your swift response and the comment. I did not have confidence about the verve tenses, so your comments made me clear about what I was not sure about. Also, I made a lot of grammar mistakes , but you pointed out each of them. Your corrections are really helpful for me to improving my writing skill. I appreciate for your time and the work. Hope to work with you again in the future! Thank you! Miki

Dear Antimony, Nice to meet you and thank you very much for your correction and explanation! That was very easy to understand. Actually, I had only a vague knowledge of subjunctive mood. I will never make the same mistake again. When I was in China, they have no time tables for public buses. People just wait for next bus until it comes. Nobody knows how long they have to wait, but nobody is frustrated. After I got used to it, I felt that Japan was crazy on punctuality. Again, I really appreciate your kind message. Best regards, Ayako Nara

Dear Antimony, Thank you very much for correcting my writing and giving me really detailed explanations! It is easy to understand and helpful to me. Actually, you advised, I love watching movies in English, especially musicals. I'll try to learn phrases and words instead of concentrating the story line and reading Japanese subtitles in the future. I'm glad to know you like some Japanese movies! I'll keep up practicing English. I'm looking forward to taking your lessons again! Best regards, sae
