Dear MrsB, Thank you very much for you correction! I guess that you have been tired of hear Japanese people saying "My English is poor" or something. It might sound strange though, Japanese people tend to believe that it is embarrassing to speak English if their English is not perfect. Who can be perfect except native speakers? Dear MrsB, Thank you very much for your correction! Now, my husband and I are considering that we try to learn very soon. It only costs 500 JPY (6.7 NZ$ ) for one lesson, three hours. It's very cheap, isn't it? One of my favorite parts of iai-do is people make a bow to their swords before they perform. You can see that swords were not just a tool for samurai people.
