Hello, my name is Cat. I've been away from IDIY for a while, but now I'm back and I look forward to teaching you! Since I've been away, I've been a and Tutor and then a Lecturer in Creative Writing at a UK university, then I began teaching English for Speakers of Other Languages with the government. I also teach Creative writing freelance with all sorts of companies. I've come back to IDIY so I can do more work with students online. I like to teach students from all over the world and at all sorts of skill levels. I have many years' experience in both critiquing academic writing and in correcting English by foreign students. I can't wait to meet you! Cat

Message from the instructor
My corrections are very thorough and considered. I give comprehensive, detailed and accurate grammatical explanations. I have a great deal of writing experience (creative, formal, academic, technical) so I understand how best to achieve the desired tone and form of expression in any piece of writing. In the past I taught English Literature to university students, I currently teach poetry and I specialise in one-to-one mentoring and feedback; I think it's important to give each student the effort and attention they deserve, It's also important to encourage and nurture each student, to help them become the best writer they can be. You can expect my feedback to be extremely useful and very positive. I look forward to working with you.

I am funny that when I read your corrected paragraph getting your response, I think ' yes, it is my paragraph exactly' . You may be disgusted with my rough concentration to your expressions for my further study. Of cause, yet, I am learning a lot from your comments each time. ky.

Dear Cat90, Thank you so much as always! I especially appreciate the part of your explanation, "otherwise it might sound as though the bamboo itself did the graffiti". I got it! I found it difficult to use words the meaning of which I don't understand enough. I always really appreciate your teaching! Have a nice day! Regards, Anna
