Hello :) I'm Stu and I'm happy to teach you English! If you are looking for help with Business English, Conversational English, Academic Writing or General Skill, I can help. I have been a professional English teacher for 3 years now and love my job! I live in Vancouver, Canada although I was born in the UK. I can speak both American and British English, so if you have a question about the differences, don't hesitate to ask. Thank you for visiting my profile and I hope to talk to you soon. Best Stu
Hobbies/Travel
My hobbies are martial arts, playing video games, watching movies and writing stories. I live in Vancouver, Canada and I'm thirty-three years old. I've visited Japan a few times and my favorite place is Arashiyama. I was very lucky a few years ago and got to spend some time traveling while I was working. This allowed me to live in a few different countries, such as Spain, England, France, The Netherlands, Germany and even Japan.
Message from the instructor
I try to explain the rules of English using normal words, so that it's easier to understand. I know that there are so many rules to remember, but it's my hope that if we work on understanding why the rules exist, it will be easier to remember them and use them when speaking English. Please let me know if I can improve in some way. I would definitely appreciate your feedback.

Dear Teacher Stu Thank you for correcting my diary and letting it better. This is the second time that you correct my diary. There were a lot of things to learn for me as well as last time. And please forgive me for making the same mistakes. Because I am no longer young. So sometimes it is hard for me to memorize things. Anyway, I would like to keep up with improving to study English. Best regards,

Merry Christmas, Stu! Thank you for correcting this text and suggesting the additional sentences. I didn't know that the word "probability" is needed to be cleared of what probability a writer means to indicate. Many thanks, Kaori

Dear Stu-san, I learned a lot today. Thank you so much. As for vinyl records, I do not have a gramophone to play back, but I have heard that analog sound is sometimes comfortable than digitalized sound. Many thanks, Tommy,

Hi Stu, Thank you for revising this text. I was impressed especially by your explanation about changing the preposition "of" to "in". It was very easy to understand the reason of the change. Many thanks as always, Kaori

Hi, Stu-sensei, Thank you for your second classes. Yes, the problem is articles. I am going to make effort... And I felt at ease to understand that '(n)-(adj)' is not necessarily the principle according to your break down. Best, AK

Stu-sensei, "The participle phrase describes what actually happened (or what is happening).'" I got it ! Thank you very much for your advice with clarity. I am going to try continuously so that I use a participle construction accurately. Best Regards, AK

Hi Stu-san, Nice to meet you and thank you for your corrections. Your profile reminds me of my Vancouver life more than 10 years ago, even if it was a short trip though. See you. Tommy,
