Announcements
I am a well-educated, highly-qualified TESOL/ESL/TEFL teacher, with six years of experience in both face-to-face and online classes, teaching students from children to adults. I have worked with students within Australia from all over the world. I have also worked and lived abroad in Japan, working with local students there. My passion is the teaching and understanding of English to those who need and want it, whether for general, business or test-taking purposes. I always endeavour to gain the students’ confidence, and try to make each and every student within my car feel as if they are receiving expert and individual attention, even though they may be part of a larger class. My work experiences cover several relevant fields, including tourism, administration, informational services and trade, and this should be seen as solid grounding for my ability to interact meaningfully, relevantly, and in a highly relatable way with students from all age groups, and all walks of life.
Hobbies/Travel
My hobbies include reading, watching TV and movies, with my favorite genres being documentaries/non-fiction, science fiction, westerns and comedies. I also like to build things, and often take machines apart to see how they work. A more recent hobby is leathercraft, which I took up a few years ago, and make all kinds of useful items that will last a lifetime!
Message from the instructor
I sincerely enjoy learning and teaching about the differences between cultures and language groups, and believe that the best English learning comes from living the language. This approach has garnered me several positive reviews from many students, most of whom never took their TEFL learning seriously or with any enjoyment, until they were in my class. I have extensive experience reading non-native English speakers' compositions, so I will quickly understand where you are coming from, what you are trying to say, and help you say it more clearly. I can help you to find the right way to write for exams such as IELTS and Cambridge, as I have taught these in the recent past, too.

I understood difference between "ride" and "board" from your explanation. Also now I am aware that I have to use comma after time phrases. Thank you!
