Announcements
Hello :) I'm Stu and I'm happy to teach you English! If you are looking for help with Business English, Conversational English, Academic Writing or General Skill, I can help. I have been a professional English teacher for 3 years now and love my job! I live in Vancouver, Canada although I was born in the UK. I can speak both American and British English, so if you have a question about the differences, don't hesitate to ask. Thank you for visiting my profile and I hope to talk to you soon. Best Stu
Hobbies/Travel
My hobbies are martial arts, playing video games, watching movies and writing stories. I live in Vancouver, Canada and I'm thirty-three years old. I've visited Japan a few times and my favorite place is Arashiyama. I was very lucky a few years ago and got to spend some time traveling while I was working. This allowed me to live in a few different countries, such as Spain, England, France, The Netherlands, Germany and even Japan.
Message from the instructor
I try to explain the rules of English using normal words, so that it's easier to understand. I know that there are so many rules to remember, but it's my hope that if we work on understanding why the rules exist, it will be easier to remember them and use them when speaking English. Please let me know if I can improve in some way. I would definitely appreciate your feedback.

Thank you for correcting my assignment. I had some mistakes so I'll review your comments carefully. It was so nice you taught me some another option. I'll use them.

Thank you always for your support. How to use tenses and how to choose articles are my weak points, so I really appreciate your thorough explanations about them. I hope you have a great weekend. Best wishes, piou

The explanations you gave me are so clear that I could get a flavor of the subtle differences about the word usages. As a friend of mine went to Basque and said she really enjoyed the tapas, I'm eager to go there sometime. I appreciate your detailed work and hope to work with you in the future. Best wishes, piou

Hi Stu, Thanks for your correction and offering your condolences, but my grandmother died 37 years ago. In Buddhism, we have a memorial service 37 years after a family member’s death. That’s a ritual. So I am OK, I was really sad 37 years ago, though. Your suggestions are really helpful. Thank you so much. I hope to see you soon. Sally
