Certifications: I have one year of experience teaching english both privately and for middle schools in Italy. For those who don't know, middle school students are between the ages of 11 and 13. My private students range from 16 to 38 at the present moment.
Announcements: I am a mother tongue english speaker who grew up in Canada. My interests have always been reading and writing which is why I took english literature as my major in university.
Hobbies/Travel: My favourite country is Japan although I've never had the pleasure of visiting Japan, I do very much admire the country and its culture. In fact, whenever I go out to eat, I always choose a Japanese restaurant because I cannot make sushi at home. Japan is a remarkably clean country with a rich culture and the most beautiful natural sights. My favourite place that I have actually visited is Sardinia. Sardinia is a mix of forest, mountains and ofcourse the sea. It makes for a very beautiful landscape which I will never get tired of. The sea is clean and warm during the summer. It truly feels like heaven on earth. During my spare time I enjoy reading fiction, my favourite author at the moment is John Green. I also enjoy practising yoga and go to the gym regularly because I believe women should be fit and strong. I also like to sew by hand as I do not own a sewing machine yet. I find sewing by hand to be very relaxing.
Message from the instructor: My main goal as an editor is correcting text but maintaining the voice of the writer through my corrections. I strongly believe that the tone of the writer should be perserved through editing. I also want to ensure that mistakes are not made more than once, and so because of this I try my best to explain why a change was made, and why it is incorrect, while giving my client alternatives they can utilize next time.
