Certifications: 120-hour TEFL Certificate (Teaching English as a foreign language) I completed a one-month intensive TEFL training course, where I received 120 hours face-to-face tuition and was able to observe professional teachers. During this time, I had 6 hours classroom time, where I had to plan lessons and teach actual students. I also had 1 on 1 sessions with an individual student, where I had to assess her skill level and plan and teach lessons accordingly.
Announcements: Hello! I'm from the UK and I have been working online teaching English to adults and children for almost 7 years. I am kind and patient, and over my years as a teacher I feel I have learnt a lot of skills that will benefit my customers greatly. I have a strong knowledge of the English language and, crucially, I am able to explain grammar rules, vocabulary and expressions clearly and accurately. I am an avid reader and I believe that reading and writing is an important part of becoming fluent and discovering a language more deeply. I am also currently a language myself, so I fully understand that it is vital not only to be corrected, but to also understand why the correction has been given.
Hobbies/Travel: I have travelled extensively around South East Asia and Europe as well as visiting the US and Australia. I love to travel and experience new cultures and food! Currently I am living in Bulgaria - a small country in Eastern Europe. I have many hobbies including hiking, reading, cooking and gardening. I love to spend as much time outside as possible. I enjoying walking in the mountains and during the summer I grow vegetables in my garden. I also have several pets - a dog, a cat, chickens and rabbits - whom I love to spend time with.
